Based in New York, the David Lynch Foundation is a charitable organization launched in 2005 by the influential American filmmaker (Twin Peaks, Elephant Man, Mulholland Drive...). The Foundation brings Transcendental Meditation® to victims of traumatic stress in 35 countries, such as at-risk youth, women victims of violence, prisoners, the homeless or war veterans. It has already helped over half a million people regain balance, happiness and purpose in life.
The goal of the David Lynch Foundation office in Geneva is to help globally alleviate suffering raising awareness of the work of the DLF, developing partnerships and charitable projects in conjunction with NGOs and United Nations organisations as well as Swiss institutions. It also aims at establishing David Lynch Foundation Switzerland as a foundation under Swiss law.

La Fondation apporte la technique de Méditation Transcendantale aux victimes du stress traumatique dans 35 pays : jeunes en rupture, femmes victimes de violence, détenus, sans abri ou vétérans de guerre. Elle a déjà aidé plus d’un demi-million de personnes à retrouver équilibre, joie et raison de vivre.
Le but du bureau de la Fondation David Lynch à Genève est d’aider à soulager la souffrance au niveau mondial en faisant mieux connaître le travail de la FDL, de développer des partenariats et projets d’aide en relation avec les ONG et organisations des Nations Unies comme avec des institutions suisses, et d’établir La Fondation David Lynch –Suisse en tant que fondation de droit suisse.

Sie wurde 2005 vom bekannten Filmemacher und Künstler David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Elephant Man, Mulholland Drive...) gegründet, um Opfern von traumatischem Stress mit Transzendentaler Meditation (TM) zu helfen. In 35 Ländern ist die Stiftung aktiv und hilft gefährdeten Jugendlichen, Opfern sexueller Gewalt, Gefangenen, Obdachlosen, Kriegsveteranen und traumatisierten Personen. Sie hat bereits mehr als 500‘000 Menschen geholfen, wieder ein ausgeglichenes, glückliches und zielgerichtetes Leben zu führen.
Das Genfer Büro der David Lynch Foundation will zur Linderung des Leidens in der Welt beitragen, indem es die karitativen Aktivitäten der DLF bekannt macht, wohltätige Projekte entwickelt und Partnerschaften mit humanitären Organisationen in der Schweiz eingeht. Ein weiteres Ziel ist die Gründung einer David Lynch Stiftung nach Schweizer Recht.
